Then and now, the Social Networking Dilema

Since the emergence of social networking communities like Myspace, Facebook, Bebo, Bloghology and a number of others connection and networking has become commonplace in the web 2.0 era.

I have a nagging curiosity about how social networking has helped you, what did you do to network and communicate before these advanced communications communities came along?

Did you use the phones, send e-mail, use snail mail?

Is there less phone calls and more instant messaging going on?  It seems like there is to me.  More e-mails are being sent, texting is huge and the sms market is really picking up.

I am caught between the whole web 2.0 and social networking paradigm and want to know if you are as well so leave me a comment and tell me how it is working out for you:

- Are you still working the phones as much as you used to?

- Have the new social networks replaced your social circles?

Tell me about it so that we can bridge this gap, I know I am not the only one in cyber space with these questions or concerns so let’s get a dialogue going, leave your comment below.

All the best to You always,

Mark Edward Brown
