Leadership in the Blogoshpere – Sound Off!

I have some questions and concerns about the current state of the blogosphere and after I share them with you I encourage you to comment on my blog so that we can establish a dialogue about these issues and concerns, ready?

Let’s go;

1)  Do you feel that micro-blogging (Twitter) will become more popular than traditional blogging?

2)  Do people like to read content on a blog or watch content via video on a blog?  Which do YOU like?

3)  Who are the leading bloggers that you are following right now and why?

4)  How do you find blogs that interest you?  Word of mouth, Google Blog Search, Technorati etc?

There you have it just a few of the questions and concerns marinating in my brain right now.  I am interested to read your feedback and comments.  My thoughts are that with the advent of social networking and the web 2.0 movement the lines that separated blogging and blogs from other media in the blogosphere are becoming blurred.  I don’t neccessarily think this is a bad thing because I like convenience and improved functionality across communication platforms, what about you?

No time for a Mind Mine today, I wanted to get two new Twitter Tactics out to you that you can use in your Web 2.0 connection and networking arsenal.  I am also posting about them today so that you can put them to work before Tuesday, that way you can tweet twice on Tuesday just as I said in the title above.

Visit TwitterGrader to get the status on your twitter efforts.  I recieved a 94 out of 100 which is not bad but I can improve upon it.  You will also be able to tweet about interacting with TwitterGrader while you are there.  All in all it is a cool app. that you will want to take advantage of so go check it out.

Oh yeah, don’t forget:  join me on Twitter by clicking the Twitter image above and leave a comment below.

How to Connect and be a Social Networking Leader

Part of connecting and networking involves having a presence in the social marketing or web 2.0 space.  As you can tell from the way my blog is set up I get allot of valuable contacts through using sites like Twitter (see my last post for instance).

If no one has told you before now, Twitter is a powerful networking medium and one of my friends and a respected marketing leader, Joel Comm is going to demonstrate it to the world! See more HERE

Imagine having an opportunity to hear from some of the world’s most popular social media celebrities…

MC Hammer
Wil Wheaton
Robert Scoble
Gary Vaynerchuk
Chris Pirillo

and MANY more!

On Thursday, the 19th of February from 12:00 to Midnight the most important thing that you can do is joining me and my friends on this day for this very special event.

We’re going to use Twitter and ustream.tv to help some people who are greatly in need.

See you there,
