Mark Edward Brown Takes the Road Less Traveled

MarkEdwardBrown

A few years ago I was at an internet marketing event in Atlanta, it was being hosted by Internet Marketer of the Year inductee, Matt Bacak.  I was sitting next to some gentlemen from the United Kingdom and on a few of the breaks we struck up a conversation about what they do and what I do, what direction we would like to take our businesses etc.

When I commented on a challenge I was having on a particular business dilema one of the guys said one of the most enlightening things that I had ever considered and it has benefitted me greatly ever since that day.  As a matter of fact I still hear his matter of fact suggestion which leads me to the next corner that I am turning in my professional and personal life.

I had just explained that I was in the military and that I was investigating which type of online business would best suit a leader in my unique situation.  I knew that an internet business could travel with me anywhere I went so that was a benefit.  One of the challenges that I was contemplating was how I could do both successfully and then the guy says;

“Why don’t you just do them both!”

It’s a simple statement I know however I have attempted to do both for a few years now and while I have had success at both I have not been able to find the perfect balance between the two.  I chose to specialize in the web traffic niche, some would refer to it as an industry however it is not quite that organized or regulated so in and of itself it can not be referred to as such.

On the military side of the equation I have always been a student of leadership and can honestly say that being a Soldier and a leader is where my main focus has been.  At times I felt like my very being was in a tug of war however now I realize that I must travel down a new road which has led me to a decision point that I want to share with you.

I have set in motion 3 plans of action, one has more or less been set for me which regards my next duty assignment in the United States, I will be back in the USA by the new year.  I have hired a fully capable administrator to operate my web traffic business on my behalf and I have also become certified in the Local, Mobile, and Social traffic areas which are emerging as the front runners to the dying advertising mechanisms that were once popular back in the day; the book known as the yellow pages, newspaper advertising, etc.

I will soon become certified as a Leadership and Life Coach as well, so as I begin to transition from one place and move to another look for a higher level of success related content from me.  I enjoy bringing you entertaining and educational content however I really want to provide material that is valuable to you.

My chief aim and goal is to become a value producer to you, one who you recomend to the people you know and they recommend me to people that they know.

I am curious to know how I can do that for you and them?

Leave a comment and let’s discover how we can work towards a win/win/win for all of us,

Mark Edward Brown reflects on Veterans Day

Veterans Day     I am taking a moment to reflect and meditate on the incredible adventure and experience that is a portion of the reason that I am part of a small portion of the population in the USA that has served in the #1 Leadership organization in the world.  What the heck does that mean and what does it have to do with Veteran’s Day?

It has everything to do with Veterans and Veteran’s Day because it’s the legacy of all of the men and women who have served and sacrificed in the military over the years and up to the present day.

When I was a young and somewhat undisciplined kid I had a knowing inside of me that I had to do something to save myself from a hapless pattern of self destruction.  I was never labled by “society” as a juvinile delingquint (not sure if I spelled that right ;-} or arrested etc.

From the outside looking in you would not know that I was mentally jousting with an existance that was somewhat undefined and limitless in its boundries.  I knew that the “American Dream” was a sham because no one that I knew was living it.  My Dad was always gone because he drove an 18 wheeler back and forth across the USA.  I am not mad at him for that because that is what he knew to provide a very comfortable level of living for my Mom, my Sisters and I.

My Mom also worked at various jobs throughout my childhood so I remember both parents working to make ends meet.  I always had gifts on my birthday as well as Christmas (so did my Sisters) and most summers we would always go on some kind of trip or visit our cousins.

The bottom line is I made a decision when I was a young man to join the military because I knew that I needed to be more disciplined, I jumped from one culture to another and I never looked back.  It’s because of the legacy of leadership and sacrifice that scores of men and women have made which formed the 2+ decades that I have lived, loved, and learned the art of leadership in the military.

The Army was and is my branch of choice yet I have the utmost respect for all of my brothers and sisters in the other branches of the armed services.

I want to say “Thank You” to All of the Veterans who have gone before me and to the young guys and gals who will come after me which are right now at this time shaping the foundation and direction that we are going in today.

Happenings, with Mark Edward Brown

I have been flat out busy, so busy in fact that I haven’t even had time to do one of my favorite and theraputic activities – blogging!

Fort Sill Sign     I was just given a “heads up” by my friend and fellow collegue who manages assignments for the Military Police Corps that I am headed to Fort Sill in the new year.  I will write more about this future assignment as it gets closer.  Right now the task at hand is to conduct a successful transition with my good friend and true professional, Major Wendy Tokach.  I feel confident and proud of the work that has been done by the Soldiers in my current unit and right now I am savoring every moment because I know that my days are numbered with the “Guardians” of USACA-K.

As you know, I have always had an entreprenurial thirst in my life to reach for and attain levels of success that most common men and women only dream about.  As a leader I have been extremely successful and I continue to experience new highs, insights, and breakthroughs in leading and learning about self-leadership.  One discovery that I have made along the path to super success is that it can be compounded and that when it is shared with another person who expresses and domonstrates that same desire and drive increadible possibilities arise to synergize that shared focus for success.

My wife, Kim told me last week that she was starting a business of her own and that she wanted my help.  We have always discussed operating our own business and in today’s competitive environment it has become obvious that we are suited to run an online business.  Since I am in the military this would have to be her primary responsibility and I could help with marketing, advertising, social networking and tasks like that which will allow her to meet and talk to people both face to face as well as online and over the phone.

Our first task is to find 2 enterprising and like minded people or couples (like us) who want a business that they can take with them anywhere in the world.  A business that does not limit one’s earning potential and in fact, one that teaches how to become a better business man and woman.  A few years ago a business like this did not exist in the virtual marketing world, it only existed offline in the material world where the model for this business has proven to be a billion dollar market.

We found the best business for the both of us and it’s so easy that people talk about and partcipate in the core wealth building activity of it every day, many times a day in fact.  I have found this to be so simple that there are only 4 key questions to ask someone in any conversation and I have not met one person yet who has said no or disqualified themselves from being a consumer or candidate for this lucrative business.

In fact let me ask you just this one question: Do you or anyone you know drink coffee, tea, or hot coco even ocasionally?

Just this past week I gave my wife a new nickname, she is now “The Coffee Queen” and I am happy to be her partner in building a high end direct mail coffee, tea and hot coco business.  Let’s face it, the place you buy your’s from doesn’t pay you back do they?  This one does and it excites me that when I retire from the military I will be able to travel around the world with my wife and business partner (in style) visiting all of our friends, family, and clients and drink a beverage that is not only good for you but tasty as well.Cup of Coffee

Oh yes, there is a health benefit to drinking this coffee, tea and hot coco as well by the way and it’s genius, plus it organic so there is no reason not to like it.  By the way if you or anyone you know drinks coffee, tea or hot coco and they are entreprenurial please link us up, I would like to connect with them and share this incredible product.

I have allot more to share with you however this post is getting a little bit long so I will close for now and write more later.

With my best regards always,

Mark Edward Brown
