How to make connections and network for success

365 days a year there are opportunities to make connections and network for success both in your personnal and business life and if you are really successful you do what you love doing and your work is your life and not the other way around.

Here are four examples:

1) in the summertime there is the 4th of July or BBQ’s and often family reunions.

2) in the fall there are sporting events, back to school parties etc.

3) in the winter time there are holiday parties and the New Years parties.

4) in the spring there are spring festivals, May day and the famous Spring Break.

All of these social gatherings make for a advantageous time to connect and networking. New connections can lead to relationships with people that share the same hobbies as you, have the same sense of humor as you do and many other characteristics that you can use to strengthen you personal and business network.

Here is some simple advice, use it or lose it:

- Make an introduction, start by introducing yourself by being friendly and approachable it will be easy for others to make small talk and that will allow you to develop meaningful conversations.

- Ask who invited you to the event that you are attending and how you know that person, talk about other people you know that they may know, many times you will be suprised at who knows who and it could lead to another great connection.

Connections are the keys to a quality network and many times it’s not the size of your network that is important, it’s the quality of your connections within your network that can make or break your success.

Often times people are willing to help you out if you are real and not phony, motivated, and a genuinely likeable person.  When establishing quality connections look for ways to give back by providing help or establishing a connection that you know will benefit the person you just met.  Reciprocating kindness or paying it forward often comes back as a favorable action for you.

Look forward to your next office party or family gathering, come up with some questions that people have to think about or would be entertaining to you to hear them answer, gatherings don’t have to be bland or boring anymore.

How To Develop The Natural Power To Connect

Many people believe that you are not good speakers and they are right. Not Many people are born with Good Communication. But this is no Excuse for you to Sit like a couch potato and do nothing about the issue. After spending thousands on seminars on Magnetic Communication, I understood that each person actually has an inborn ability to connect with others and it is only a matter of practice. It is a matter of being in the right zone in the right time.

Many athletes have verified that when they get into the field, they enter a new zone or a state of consciousness. A zone where, their ability to watch and respond is at its peak. There is no magic behind this secret. It is only a case of practice and control. If you find yourself wondering how you can do it, let me help you.

Here are some exercises you can do to connect with your Inner Power of expression so you can communicate with ease..

1. Speak Impromptu:

Stand in front of a mirror and start your Impromptu. Do not care what comes out of your mouth, just keep blabbering. Do not stop to revise or analyze what you are saying. Make sure no one hears you do this as it will only make you conscious of their presence and you may censor out your thinking. This exercise is to help you get into your natural flow. You will know when you get into the flow by observing how you feel inside. It will take time to master this technique so do not expect a one day miracle.

2. Grounding:

Reserve a few minutes everyday to get yourself grounded. Choose a spot free from disturbance. Loosen your whole body. Imagine all the stress just dropping off you like sweat. Imagine and feel a cool blue light from the sky entering your head, traveling all through your body and finally rush deep into Earth through your legs. Imagine and feel a warm Red light rise up from the earth, enter your body through the legs and then finally release into sky via your head. Feel the love and warmth of both the Red and the Blue light flow in your body. Relish this at least for 5 minutes day.

3. Reverse Read:

Take any good book on self help and reverse read for about 15 minutes a day. Reading in reverse means, you should start from the bottom right corner and read from right to left.

Practice these exercises at least 10 minutes a day and you will be well on your way to harness The natural power to connect.. Once you get used to getting into the zone, notice how you feel. Pay special attention to how your body and mind responds. Once you get used to getting into the zone regularly, you can get into the zone at any time and any place by just willing to be in that state. The New Generation Trend Of Social Networking

The world wide web has been struck by another popular phenomenon; social networking websites. These websites provide the users with a new way of connecting with each other for the purposes of friendship, recreation and even business. There are a number of websites these days that provide social networking services. However, each of these websites has different features.

Some of the social networking websites require users to create accounts and a complete profile. These websites allow the users to upload images as well as videos. These websites also offer a search function which can be used to search for friends and other contacts. Using the search function, the users can create a network of friends.

These networks usually are controlled by the users who built it. It is entirely at the users’ discretion as to who they want to add and who they want to exclude from their network. Most of these websites also have a feature that allows the users to post a message that can be read by everyone in the network also there is an option for private messages. However the users can even delete it if they want to. These were just the basic features. Some of the websites have some really advanced features. They may allow the users to play flash based games in a competitive environment. Such features appeal to a niche audience and that’s why these websites are advertised to reach only that percentage of the audiences that want to connect and network with likeminded individuals.

The biggest benefit of these social networking websites is that they are a wonderful way of making new contacts and maintaining old ones. They help to know a new person’s likes and dislikes, thereby letting one know if he/she can connect with the other person or not. These websites also help the professionals in their professional fields. They give them a chance to meet other people from the same profession and connect with them.

In contemporary times social networking portals are also being used for the marketing of products and services. Even films and television programs are promoted through this website by establishing a community about them, where people discuss these movies and TV programs.

There are reports of these websites being used for wrongful purposes. For an instance many advertisers use these websites to get ahold of the contact information of the consumers and then advertise their product or service to them. Also people these days access the personal information of these users for crimes like identity theft etc actually the use of these websites solely depends on the people visiting them. After all it depends on the purpose for which a person uses these websites.

All facts withstanding, the truth is that in the ever evolving world of the Internet, the Social Networking Websites have heralded a new era of interpersonal communication. They have bridged the gap between human beings even more than telephone or emails giving a real meaning to the word Social Networking and helping people Build Relationships that lasts a life time. In short these social network websites have indeed made the world a much smaller place than any other form of communication.

I encourage you to leave a comment and let me know how you are using social networking to build your contact list and form new relationships.

Wishing You the best of connections,
