The big question I get asked most often when discussing the subjects of authority, coaching, and leadership is; “Coach Mark, how do I gain authority over that part of me which seems to sneak in and derail my progress?”
I’ll answer that question in a moment however in order to get to the heart of the matter let’s clearly define what “authority” is and how it factors into the inner conquest of mastering personal authority over your “self”.
This definition is ideal for illustrating the meaning you need to understand; “The word Authority with capital A refers to the governing body upon which such authority (with lower case a) is vested”
For example: the Authority YOU exert over your “self” when the thinking part of YOU makes the doing part of you obey and accomplish an action such as awaking early to workout.
