Living Motivated with Mark Edward Brown

What is your definition of  “Motivation”?

Motivation has different meaning to everyone. Some people use it and some people avoid it. There are myths about it and there are volumes of books, reports, and videos about it.

Over a year ago I set out to write a book about Motivation, I selected the title, wrote the forward and that is as far as I got.  The title is: “Living Motivated – A Practical Guide to a Successful Life”

I haven’t abandoned writing that book, in fact I have thought about it allot and because I have used motivation to achieve amazing results in my own life and I enjoy working with and coaching other people to experience success in their own lives through motivation.

Here is a video and meme about motivation that I created and I’d like to get your feedback on it: http://markedwardbrown.com/how-to-use-motivation-to-become-successful/

Community Impact

One of the best ways that I’ve learned to benefit community groups such as public school programs to Future Farmers of America is to team up with like minded people and take action towards helping said group reach their goals.

I learned the importance of being a part of a team as a young man, playing school sports. Having good coaches can make a big impact in a young man or woman’s life. I also learned that by working to improve your own personal skills, abilities, and talents you in turn strengthen the team that you are a part of.

For the past year I have had the distinct honor and privilege of teaming up with many organizations in my community in Southwestern Oklahoma.  This is not about me though, this is simply about a simple formula to apply in your life if you want to make an impact in virtually any local organization in your own community.

I will refer to my own examples and truthfully they are not my own because I am a member of a group of gentlemen whom I affectionately refer to as my “brothers”. Together we team up and help as many community organizations and programs as we can.

Teamwork really does make the dream work and we were able to present 3 of our community’s programs with monetary support to assist them in continuing the great work that they do.

Here is a photo of a benefit presentation for the Elgin, Oklahoma Middle School Winter Wishes Program. This program grants the wish of a student who pays a wish forward to another student. It’s an incredible program that teaches the values that my team aspires to – that of charity!

Pictured are Mrs. Evon and Mrs. West, G.M. Corky Grigsby, John Logan and fellow members of the Oklahoma Masonic Charity Foundation.

This benefit check went to the Future Farmers of America (FFA) from Sterling, Oklahoma

Not pictured are representatives from the Fletcher, Oklahoma Future Farmers of America.

To recap, if you want to be a part of something meaningful in your community get involved with folks who share in your interests and goals. The group I am a part of enjoys laughing and having fun, eating and enjoying a meal together, and raising money to help community programs and causes that benefit widows, orphans and children in our community.

Happy Father’s Day from Mark Edward Brown

Happy Father’s Day!

I found a great Father’s Day Quote that I shared on facebook today along with the vlog below.  This is dedicated to my Dad; Duane “Charlie” Brown:

“Dads are most ordinary men turned by love into heroes, adventurers, story-tellers and singers of song.”  ~Pam Brown
