How To Locate A Self Improvement / Leadership Book List

My friend Bob from the self motivation blog was asked recently by someone posting on his self help blog what were the best self motivational books he had read. Although there are several thousand self motivational books published each year he came to the conclusion that there are very little that can be added to the many words of self motivational wisdom that have been written over the last century and a half.

From the early pioneers like Napoleon Hill to today’s monumental giants like Tony Robbins. It was said, by the latter of these two gurus, that we arrive on this planet without an instruction manual. I think for that reason alone there is not just a thirst for knowledge but a greater need for a guide to how to survive life which drives the market for self help books. You don’t need to have suffered a deep psychological trauma to want to invest in one of these guides. But for those who say you can’t deal with serious issues like depression then I disagree. Where his own doctor and a clinical psychologist were unable to help him a number of the books on Bob’s all time classic list gave him the support to get his life back on track.

However, its not reading self motivational books that gets results, it’s taking action on the advice that is given therein. So my advice is read a small amount of self motivational and leadership books but take a lot of action if you want to significantly improve your life.

Can leadership and self motivational books bring happiness? Now there is a million dollar question! Depends on your definition of happiness of course. Many people would define it as achieving a certain amount of wealth. However, as many wealthy people often say the wealth in and of itself doesn’t bring happiness. In addition have you ever noticed that wealthy people never seem satisfied with what they have got and continually seek to make more and more money. The truth is that happiness is not a destination it is more likely to be a state of continually striving to achieve goals, achieving them and setting more goals to strive to achieve. If thats your definition then I think self motivational books will help you and my list of all time classics have certainly helped me in that respect.

There are many out there who will disagree with my choice of self help books and have their own favourites all I can say to them is that these are the ones that gave me the focus and the necessary poke in the ribs to take action and I still revisit them for ideas.

I agree with Bob and want to remind you that Leaders are Readers so read something that is good for your today and tell me about it by leaving a comment here on the Connection, Leadership and Neworking Blog.

How To Develop The Natural Power To Connect

Many people believe that you are not good speakers and they are right. Not Many people are born with Good Communication. But this is no Excuse for you to Sit like a couch potato and do nothing about the issue. After spending thousands on seminars on Magnetic Communication, I understood that each person actually has an inborn ability to connect with others and it is only a matter of practice. It is a matter of being in the right zone in the right time.

Many athletes have verified that when they get into the field, they enter a new zone or a state of consciousness. A zone where, their ability to watch and respond is at its peak. There is no magic behind this secret. It is only a case of practice and control. If you find yourself wondering how you can do it, let me help you.

Here are some exercises you can do to connect with your Inner Power of expression so you can communicate with ease..

1. Speak Impromptu:

Stand in front of a mirror and start your Impromptu. Do not care what comes out of your mouth, just keep blabbering. Do not stop to revise or analyze what you are saying. Make sure no one hears you do this as it will only make you conscious of their presence and you may censor out your thinking. This exercise is to help you get into your natural flow. You will know when you get into the flow by observing how you feel inside. It will take time to master this technique so do not expect a one day miracle.

2. Grounding:

Reserve a few minutes everyday to get yourself grounded. Choose a spot free from disturbance. Loosen your whole body. Imagine all the stress just dropping off you like sweat. Imagine and feel a cool blue light from the sky entering your head, traveling all through your body and finally rush deep into Earth through your legs. Imagine and feel a warm Red light rise up from the earth, enter your body through the legs and then finally release into sky via your head. Feel the love and warmth of both the Red and the Blue light flow in your body. Relish this at least for 5 minutes day.

3. Reverse Read:

Take any good book on self help and reverse read for about 15 minutes a day. Reading in reverse means, you should start from the bottom right corner and read from right to left.

Practice these exercises at least 10 minutes a day and you will be well on your way to harness The natural power to connect.. Once you get used to getting into the zone, notice how you feel. Pay special attention to how your body and mind responds. Once you get used to getting into the zone regularly, you can get into the zone at any time and any place by just willing to be in that state. Marketing Your Business.

One of the most vital aspects of this recent marketing concept which every business owner should be aware of is that it’s completely free. With the right idea, intuition and planning; viral marketing on social networking websites can return thousands of client prospects to any business website.

Social networking website, as the name suggests, are networks of people and friends who use the Internet to communicate, socialise and share, all through one website. Common websites of this nature are Myspace, Facebook, Bebo and many others.

These websites can be utilized through viral marketing methods; that is the concept of providing marketing material which propagates itself to many other people by giving an incentive for this to occur. For today’s Internet audience this incentive is usually interesting, entertaining and more commonly, not related to the business involved. internet marketing

This may sound confusing but it’s the system of these networking websites which allows this technique to become effective. For example if a business finds a video which could become popular. If this video is interesting, entertaining or both, it will entice viewers to pass it onto their friends to share it. By adding your website link or marketing message into that video as a footer, or maybe adding your URL to the video description, your business details are being passed wherever the video is sent. This is what makes viral marketing on social networking websites so powerful for businesses of any size.

One important factor must always be taken into account for successful viral marketing and that’s to not flood the media with your material. Journalists, the media and members of the public will value your contributions much more if every one of them has a sense of strong content and a good angle. Distributing viral releases or PR as much as you can will result in people devaluing your presence if the content isn’t worthwhile. internet marketing

Some websites such as Myspace also offer profiles which can be used to the same effect. Making a profile for your business allows you to add people all over the world as friends, who can see your profile and therefore any marketing message you choose to present. However an interesting, unique angle is often required to make the most effective use of this method. For example using an interesting, make-believe character as the profile owner or offering another, more attention-grabbing incentive for visiting your website.

Should you get professional assistance with social networking campaigns? That’s the question many businesses will ask.

“One of the great benefits of viral marketing on social networks and anywhere else is that it’s 100% free and can provide fantastic results. Good marketing agencies do have the Public Relations and marketing knowledge to get the right angle for your material, which will result in the most publicity. Whether a person chooses management for their viral campaigns depends on the situation they are in but if the budget is there then I’d certainly recommend looking into it.” internet marketing
